This weekend's open gardens were predominantly native gardens. Both were in older suburbs with traditional large blocks of land. One had a renovated and extended house, the other a knock-down rebuild. Both had a few exotics planted close to the house which merged very comfortably with the native plantings, and also pergolas with deciduous vines and water features. Only one had a small lawn.
