Art, Technology, Science

We started the week with art, Turner From The Tate at the National Gallery.

Then a display of old telephones at the Canberra Museum and Gallery. I love that sort of stuff, they've previously had typewriters and cameras.

Then a couple of visits to Questacon, the interactive science and technology centre.

There was a display of scientific photography I wanted to see and when I checked the details and saw that night was one of their adults only nights I thought it was the perfect opportunity.

Free fall? No thanks. Shoes off and special overalls on was a bit too interactive for me, and then there was that small matter of dangling from a great height and letting go! You can see a video here.

I also declined the 360° swing.  There's a video of it prior to installation at Questacon here.

We went back on the weekend for a very interesting talk by Stuart Harris about Jumping Spiders. There's a video by his colleague Jurgen Otto here.
