New Playground

I've been struggling to find a present for one of those hard to buy for people and during the week I thought I'd pop into the gift shop at the arboretum to see if anything inspired me there. It also seemed a good opportunity to photograph the newly opened playground while it was quiet, but even on this icy cold windy day there were a few children there. I did manage to get some photos without intruding on anyone's privacy (apologies for the quality). Isn't this just the cutest design? The large structure is based on acorns and the little 'cubby houses' resemble banksia seeds. The 'buttons' on the bridge play musical notes when stepped on, so even I got to play with something!

The playground was designed by Taylor Cullity Lethlean.

Wow that is cute. I like the swing and the way the design mimics nature and makes it fun at the same time.

I know two small people who would love that playground. It looks such fun, too bad it's so far away!
