Another gorgeous autumn weekend in Canberra. I even managed to get sunburned on Sunday, which was a sunny 22℃ 71℉ and with no cooling breeze it felt like summer.
We visited some Open Gardens in the beautiful leafy older suburbs. As these suburbs were developed many decades ago, and the block sizes were large to very large allowing extensive gardens, some of the trees are an impressive size.
Auto Italia 2012 on the lawns in front of Old Parliament House offered an opportunity to drool over some very nice vehicles. It seemed a very popular event with the canine population too. The white building in one of the photos is Old Parliament House, the other building used to be the Foreign Affairs department and is now home to one of those departments with a seemingly ever lengthening title and it doesn't even form a conveniently clever acronym.
