When the space tracking station that will be receiving the signal from the latest Mars rover as it lands is just up the road you've just got to be there. We weren't the only ones to think so, the car park was full and we had to park up the road. No seats left in the visitors centre either. Funny to think we were all waiting with bated breathe when what we were waiting for had already happened. It takes the signal over thirteen minutes to reach earth. There was a big round of applause at the successful landing!
This is the dish.
Here's what I could see over the crowd.
And we left the dish busy working away as the sun lowered in the sky.
