This Garden Bloggers Bloom Day I'm cheating and sharing what's blooming at our local Botanic Garden which specialises in Australian natives.
Although it had been sunny by the time we arrived it was becoming overcast. The temperature was around 14℃ apparent temp 6℃ (or 57℉ apparent temp 43℉).
The garden Volunteers provide lists and maps to help you find what's blooming each week. (Thank you!)
They also put up signs next to the plants. This one's a Prostanthera phylicifolia.
Many of the flowers were quite tiny, like this Baeckia crassifolia.
But some were huge, like this Banskia spinulosa.
Grevillea oxyantha
Epacris calvertiana var. calvertiana
Grevillea lanigera
Homoranthus
Grevillea manglesii subsp. ornithopoda
Adenanthos obovatus
Correa alba
Guichenotia ledifolia
Thryptomene denticulata
Hakea corymbosa
Hakea obtusa
Hakea purpurea
Hakea bakeriana
Grevillea lavandulacea
Banksia aemula
Grevillea flexuosa
Banksia spinulosa var. neoanglica
Acacia podalyriifolia
Heading back to the car park we encountered a kangaroo.

What a fabulous range of natives! We really do have beautiful wildflowers here.
Just gorgeous! I feel quite ashamed I haven't utilised more native plants in my garden. Love the foliage and the different flowers on the Hormoranthus.
