Lennox Gardens

On the way home from Floriade, featured in my previous post, we stopped at Lennox Gardens.

Lennox Gardens is located on part of what was the original Canberra Golf Course prior to the construction of the lake, and takes its name from the old low-level crossing over the river which was named after David Lennox, a noted Scottish-born bridge builder in the 19th century. Within the Gardens is Canberra-Nara Peace Park, symbolising Canberra's sister city relationship with Nara, Japan.
